With the help of Dr Salvatore Ruggiero, Associate Professor of Sustainable Entrepreneurship, the students at CISS had their first glimpse of implementing sustainable practices in their school environment
From waste and food to energy and water, each class was allocated a topic to better expand their awareness of how sustainability can be made real in practice. Through a series of workshops lasting through the week, students were encouraged to partake in projects such as building rudimentary solar panels out of discarded CD’s, monitoring the water usage throughout the school building, or visiting our local dairy farm from where we source our milk.
